Almost 350 youngsters from across Torbay took part in this year's Herald Express School Games today. Run by young leaders, the Year 6, 7 and 8 students battled it out in 8 different sports
The day was opened by Olympic Silver Medalist Miriam Batten who shared the olympic values and inspired the competitors to try hard and made friends.
Mayor Nick Bye also joined the event with sponsors Lloyds TSB, Torbay Council and the Herald Express.
The sun shined all day as teams competed in the Commonwealth Games themed day, for bronze, silver and gold medals.
